The ROCA 1 software was developped in order to verify the validity of welding parameters recorded in PQR and optimizing the welding parameters in all applicable WPS.

In detail ROCA1 verifies the validity of the joint design parameters and heat input parameters(arc voltage, current and travel speed) with respect to the Thickness and Width/Depth Ratio of the weld bead and the critical value of Diluition Coefficient characteristic of each type of welding process.

Also ROCA 1 provides the productivity parameters of welding process recorded in PQR & WPS.

Welding processes that can be verified with ROCA1 are:

• GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc welding)
• SMAW (Shielded Metal arc Welding)
• GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
• FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding)
• SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)

ROCA 1 is a valuable tool for Welding Engineers, Welding Inspectors and Technicians in the field of Design, Quality Control, Machine Manufacturing and Assembly on Site, in order to verify de validity of Welding parameters  during design and qualification of welding processes.
